By using Card Transfer, you can now transfer money using your debit cards without having to go through the trouble of booking a transaction initially and then initiating a transfer from your bank's site. In other words through Card Transfers, you can seamlessly send money through Remit2India.
Debit Cards issued in UK only are supported. Credit Cards are not supported.
This type of transfer is the most convenient and stress-free way to send money to India on Remit2India. It is also faster to set up. You just need to type in your card details.
Yes. Remit2India has partnered with Barclays
to provide you with a 3D secure automated remittance facility
in real time from your bank account using Debit Cards.
3-D Secure (3 Domain Secure or 3 Domain Server) is a global internet
authentication system adopted by most countries and card issuers.
It provides extra protection (authentication through password/ PIN check)
for online transactions by authenticating a cardholder and reduces the liability for chargebacks.
Card transactions in the UK are not free. The interchange fee (cost of using a debit card) is 0.23%. Hence covering the extra costs associated with this type of transfer make transfers using debit cards a bit more expensive.
While choosing the pay mode, you will see card as
a payment option (as long as your payment is within the card limit).
At this stage we'll ask for -
Card number (16 Digits)
Expiry Date (MM/YY)
CVV/CVC Number (the last three digits of the number printed
on the signature strip on the back of the card)
Once you've entered these details and hit 'Submit',
you'll be taken to the 3D Secure authentication screen.
As soon as you have completed the 3D Secure process and the
payment has been approved and completed by your bank, you'll be
taken to our payment confirmation page where the delivery date
of the money transfer is mentioned.
